Lots to report...

Ok, so it's been forever again -sorry! Life has been hectic - lots of comings and goings! And lots of big news to report :)

First of all, we're eating a lot of "big boy" food - trying all kinds of exciting things like sweet potatoes (Grammy Denise, tell that guy that lives with you that he loved them!!), bananas, applesauce, and pears. Some days he takes them better than others, but over all I think it's been a success! He loves to sit up in his high chair and see the world!

Still no teeth - but he has several that have been trying to come in for a really long time! It seems like forever ago that they started looking like they would break through any day - but they don't seem to be bothering Mason at all, so I guess I won't let it bother me!

Mason is also really trying hard to crawl - he's doing great pushups and has been able to get one leg underneath him really well, but can't quite get the whole thing down yet - he still doesn't like being on his stomach for very long, and would rather play sitting up, but I think we'll get there soon :)

The biggest thing (I think anyway!) is that he is now saying Da-da really clearly! I don't think he quite knows who he is referring to, but it's fun to hear it anyway :) I'm working on getting Mama out of him and we're getting close!

He loves to clap and it makes him crack up every time. He's playing with all the toys that he's big enough for now and really likes that. The last couple of days, we've been giving him baths out of the little infant tub and he really likes sitting up in there by himself - he likes to play with all of his bath toys and likes to stay in there a lot longer now that he can entertain himself!

We hit the 6 month mark in February, so we took some pictures at Portait Innovations - and if I do say so myself, I think we have quite a handsome little red-head on our hands!!!

Mason is sitting up now - all by himself! He can sit up for a really long time without any help now and is really enjoying it! These are some pictures of him playing his drum toy while I was icing a cake - i let the dogs in after a while and they were very interested in helping! He got a little excited when they wanted to play with him!

Getting bigger every day!

So it's been almost a month since I've posted! Live has just been busy!!! :) Anyway, Mason is getting bigger every day & learning lots lately (say that three times fast!)!! He is working on crawling and is really trying to get his first tooth! His newest habit is this growling sound he makes which apparently he picked up from Jacob at daycare! It is the funniest thing! I think that it's getting harder to leave him every day - he is just so talkative and playful in the mornings now! He is sleeping through the night, which has been great! He is getting over a cold/cough that wasn't too severe, but has stuck around for a while...He has started to really like playing with the dogs, and Audrey has become very interested in him and is starting to show some motherly love! Every time Mason is on the floor playing she wants to come lay down next to him and she lets him do whatever he wants & doesn't seem to care a bit when he pulls her hair! Hobbs is still clueless and off in his own little world :) Mason is still as laid back as can be and everyone at church can't stop telling me how lucky I am (as if I didn't know!!!!!!!!!!)!

Anyway, sorry for the long time between updates, I will try to do better!!!

First Basketball game

Mason got to go to his first basketball game this weekend! :) We drove down with Kelli & my parents to Edmond for cousin Eric's tournament game on Saturday afternoon. It was a really close game and Mason enjoyed watching the players run up and down the court...these pictures are of him clapping along with the cheerleaders - he LOVED clapping! I would help him clap along and he would just laugh the whole time - too cute!

Big boy!

Mason is staying awake a lot more during the days and has been VERY playful recently!!! :) He has gotten very big & is now eating solids! He had rice cereal the other night for the first time - he also sat in his high chair for the first time this week! The babysitter's son was sick a couple of days this week, so I stayed home with Mason and we had a blast!! He seems to be healthy & has been working on getting some teeth - I think that one of them is just about to break through!
