My sweet baby girl turned 4 in December - my, how the time flies! She had a sweet "pink" party and we had a blast celebrating this girl! She had a great time picking out her 4 acts of kindness to do and it was super fun to see her take some ownership this year! Here's the run with a horrible lack of pictures from this slacker mom!
Act #1: We baked some cookies for little miss's speech teachers. They do a great job working with our sassy girl and I was thrilled when that's who she said she wanted to treat with some sweets!
Act #2: She got to leave some money at Target for some lucky kiddos to find. Big brother got to help hide some of the dollar bills and they had lots of fun on this one. The Target employee that caught us sneaking around thought we were doing something wrong at first I think! He quickly realized what we were up to and started laughing and said he was excited to see some kid find that money!
Act #3: We picked up some wipes and other kiddo items to leave on a changing table somewhere. I, as an airhead, kept forgetting to take them with us when we went places, so one day when I was off work, we just went and picked up a new pack and left them in a restaurant restroom with an encouraging note for a mommy to find.
Act #4: Little lady got to pick out 4 toys to donate. This one's always special to me b/c when we do toy purges, we usually only get rid of the toys that they don't actually play with. When they do this one for their birthday, they have to part with something that they actually enjoy so that they know they're giving someone something really good. I love how willing they are to do this act and how excited they get when they imagine another kiddo getting to use some of their special toys!
I can't believe my girl is already 4! What a blessing she is! And how amazing this "acts of kindness" tradition has been so far! Can't wait 'til next year to see what Sassy Pants wants to do next!
