Summer time!

Since I know that the main reason anyone reads this is to catch up on the kiddos, we’ll bring you up to speed on them first:
First born aka Big M – Mason is hilarious, as always.  He is having a blast this summer and everything is a new adventure at this age – it’s so much fun!  He loves to be outside and gets upset when you make him come inside.  He is a boy and loves to run, roll, jump, hit, kick and just get dirty in general.  He loves bugs.  He loves cars and loud noises.  He loves to rough house.  He is a daddy’s boy and always wants to go play baseball and wear Randal’s hats.  He loves to play hide and seek and is not very good at it.  He has yet to figure out the concept of hiding in a different place each time.  So if Mason is missing, check under the laundry basket in our bedroom – he’ll be there.

2nd born aka Lil m – Madison loves her brother.  She follows him wherever he goes and climbs all over him.  She thinks he’s the funniest person alive and they keep each other pretty busy.  She is a mommy’s girl and doesn’t want me to leave the room without her permission, which I rarely get…usually just crying and stomping…She is a cuddle bug and I love it J She’s hilarious and loves to dance around the living room with her big brother.  She loves to climb on things and she has the most infectious smile!  She is clumsy and falls ALL THE TIME! Her poor knees are going to be just as banged up as her mama’s!  She refuses to let me put her hair up in pigtails or a ponytail anymore, but her hair is starting to get curly, so it’s cute anyway J

Head of household aka Big Papa – Randal is busy, busy.  He’s been working hard at work and at home.  He recently manned a garage sale at our house in 100 degree temps while I was out of town doing a farmer’s market!  Wowza J He has been busy playing guitar at church and playing softball during the week.  He spends his time “flying” M&m around the house and gets a good workout in the process.

2nd in command aka Secretary to the Family – Beth is busy, busy too!  I work my regular job, take care of the fam, and do my bakery business on the side.  It has been a busy time for Mark It With a “B” Bakery!  Just this month:  farmer’s market, bridal shower, wedding reception, celebration cake, grand opening cookies, baby shower, and another wedding reception!  Whew!  I’m exhausted just thinking about it!  We’re half way through the month though and I’m still standing, so I think we’re going to make it!  I love my “spare” time that I get to spend each evening rocking m to sleep and giving M&m their baths.  I love my time with R when we get a free moment to just chat without little ones wanting to get their words in for the day.  Those moments are few and far between so we’ve learned to cherish them!

Our friends finally got to bring their baby girl home from Uganda after Melissa spent a LONG 11 months in Uganda working to get her here.  It was a wonderful day on Saturday when we got to see their family all together.  I’m so happy for all of my friends!
